How to resell roof measurement reports under your own brand

What a resellable roof report is, what RoofQuery lets you do with one, how to price it, and the mechanics of putting your customer's brand on every PDF.

Getting startedMeasured reports Last updated Markdown

A resellable report is one you can buy, brand as your own or your customer's, and sell on at your own price, with nothing in the terms stopping you. That is what a RoofQuery report is. This guide covers what you are allowed to do, how the money works, and the exact mechanics of branding, because most measurement providers license their reports for internal use only and the difference decides whether a resale business exists at all.

What does "resellable" mean here?

Four things, all true of every RoofQuery report:

Compare that with a provider whose terms license reports "for internal use only", where your customer has to hold their own account and your software integrates on their behalf. That is an integration, not a resale. The EagleView comparison walks through the difference with the terms quoted.

What does it cost, and what can I charge?

Your cost is fixed and public: $13 per residential report and $35 per commercial, any roof size, drawn from a prepaid balance. There is no subscription, no seat fee, no minimum volume and no reseller tier to qualify for. Auto-recharge keeps the balance topped up.

Your price is your own. The models we see most:

ModelHow it worksFits
Per report with marginCharge per report at a price above cost, or at cost with a fee on the estimate built from it.Marketplaces, estimating tools, anything usage-based
Bundled into a planA number of reports included per month in a subscription tier.CRMs and job-management software
Free, as retentionReports included at no charge, funded by the subscription they keep customers on.Platforms where churn costs more than $13
Pass-through plus serviceReport at cost, revenue from the estimate, proposal or claim built on it.Adjusting firms, design services

The API does not care which. Your account is charged $13 or $35 at order time, and the balance endpoint tells your software what is left.

How does the customer's brand get onto the report?

Through a brand profile. When a customer joins your platform, create a profile with their company name, address, phone, email, colours and logo. Store the returned id on their record. Every PDF link for their jobs carries ?brand=<their id>, and the report renders in their brand, logo included, on an order you placed.

Profiles can also be created by hand in the dashboard, which shows each id and a test PDF. The PDF is rendered at download time, so if a customer rebrands, editing their profile rebrands every report they have ever received. The full mechanics are in how white-label branding works.

A small RoofQuery watermark stays in the PDF footer on every branded report. If your agreement with a customer requires a document with no third-party mark at all, talk to us before you sign it.

How do I deliver the report to my customer?

With a link. You do not have to store the files yourself. We host every report, and the PDF, XML, ESX and diagram routes take no API key, so the link we give you is the deliverable: put the branded PDF link on the job record, email it, or embed it in your own portal, with nothing proxied through your servers. If your product needs its own copy, for an audit trail or an offline archive, download it and keep it; that is fine too. The link carries the property address and the measurements and does not expire, so treat it as you would the file. Details under sharing a report.

What happens when a customer disputes a measurement?

You open a revision, from the API or the dashboard, and a technician re-measures. It is free, one open revision per report, and the original stays downloadable until the correction lands. Your customer never contacts us; you stay the vendor. For a report on a property that cannot be measured, the order is cancelled and the cost comes back to your balance as credit, so you never pay for a report you cannot sell.

What does the integration need?

Five calls and a webhook handler, which most teams have working in sandbox in a day. The walkthrough is adding roof reports to a roofing CRM, and the same shape applies to a claims platform or an estimating tool. Everything can be built and demonstrated in the free sandbox before a dollar is spent.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resell RoofQuery roof reports?

Yes. There is no internal-use restriction, no reseller agreement and no minimum. You buy at $13 residential and $35 commercial and set your own price.

Does my customer need a RoofQuery account?

No. Only you hold an account. Your customer receives a report in their brand from your product and never sees RoofQuery beyond a small footer watermark.

Can I put my customer's logo on the report?

Yes. Create a brand profile per customer, upload their logo to it, and name the profile on their PDF links.

Is there a reseller discount at volume?

List price is $13 and $35 for everyone with no minimum. Accounts with sustained volume can be put on an agreed rate; contact us with your numbers.
